This is JacquelineB on inspiring people.
I used to work with somebody, a coach, who told me that he doesn’t look to inspire people in his work, he looks for inspiring people, people who inspire him. I wondered about that for quite some time. For him that was about finding the people he really wants to work with and not working with people he didn’t want to work with, which is fair enough. What I’ve noticed is when you really get present with another human being they’re always inspiring. Nobody is boring, nobody talks too much, everybody’s got something to say, everybody, you can learn from everybody.
It’s getting really present that does the trick. I mentioned this to somebody else and they said, “Well, no, some people are really boring!” but I don’t find it be the case. When you sit down and you get present with another human being and you’re there in their world and you’re listening deeply to them, what they’re saying behind the words, what they’re saying to you energetically, how their thoughts are communicating with your thoughts, every single person that I’ve done that with I find some inspiration, or I learn something, or I feel something good. How amazing is that? How amazing that everybody we come into contact with we can find inspiring. I love that thought. Thank you for your attention.
